A downloadable game

Fish Guy is a retro-style side-scrolling platformer created using Stencyl for my Game Genre Studies assignment at the University of Wollongong (UOW).

Set on a mysterious space-themed planet, you play as a fish-like shooter navigating alien terrain filled with patrol enemies and ranged attackers. 

This project explores classic platformer mechanics with a modern twist, focusing on simplicity, clarity, and genre fidelity.

Install instructions

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Download the Game
    • Click the Download button on this page.
  2. Install Ruffle Flash Emulator
    • Go to https://ruffle.rs
    • Download the Desktop version of Ruffle for your operating system (Windows, macOS, or Linux).
    • Extract and open the Ruffle application.
  3. Run the Game
    • In Ruffle, click "Open SWF" and select the FishGuy.swf file from the folder you extracted.
    • The game should launch in a standalone window.
